General description

N-Desmethylcyclobenzaprine, or norcyclobenzaprine, is the major urinary metabolite of the skeletal muscle relaxant cyclobenzaprine, sold under trade names such as Flexeril®, Fexmid®, and Amrix®. Cyclobenzaprine is used to relieve skeletal muscle spasms and associated pain from acute musculoskeletal conditions. This internal standard is suitable for quantitation of norcyclobenzaprine levels in urine by LC/MS or GC/MS testing methods in pain prescription monitoring, forensic analysis, urine drug testing, or clinical toxicology.
