General description

Take advantage of SMC® proprietary technology while developing your own application-specific immunoassays. This kit provides everything you need to build your own high performing SMC® immunoassay. It includes reagents and consumables to label up to 1mg of antibody to SMC® beads.
The SMC® immunoassay uses a quantitative fluorescent sandwich immunoassay technique to measure an analyte in a matrix. This kit is intended for the labeling of 0.3-1.0 mg of a capture antibody (Ab) and conjugation to magnetic microparticle (MP) beads. The labeled capture antibody is used in conjunction with a sandwich immunoassay to be developed for the SMC immunoassay system. This kit should be used in conjunction with 03-0076-02 SMC® detection labeling kit and 03-0078-00 SMC® bead-based immunoassay development kit.

Application

SMC® Capture Antibody Labeling Kit has been used to conjugate magnetic particles (MPs):
  • to MW1 polyglutamine antibodies for Erenna Singulex single-molecule counting (SMC) immunoassay
  • to Covance 4B12 antibody for Singulex assays
  • to mouse 5C9-IgG2a for Singulex assay

Other Notes

Develop your own high-performing detection antibodies and move beyond the traditional ELISA with SMC® technology. Antibodies used are to be in a carrier- and label-free buffer. If labeling proteins other than antibodies of a 150 kD approximate molecular weight, contact MilliporeSigma technical support. For use in single molecule counting systems.
