General description

Interleukin-10 (IL-10) is an anti-inflammatory cytokine primarily produced by regulatory T cells, macrophages, and dendritic cells, playing a crucial role in modulating immune responses. It is essential for inhibiting the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, thus helping to maintain immune homeostasis and prevent excessive inflammation. IL-10′s regulatory functions make it a key player in various diseases, including autoimmune disorders and chronic inflammatory conditions, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target.

Application

Inflammatory Disease / Immune Response / Autoimmune Disease

Biochem/physiol Actions

Although IL-10 was detectable in non-human primate, mouse, rat, canine and feline samples, the assay has not been verified for these species.

Features and Benefits

  • Femtogram-Level Sensitivity for IL-10 Detection: Enables quantification of extremely low levels of IL-10, critical for studying subtle anti-inflammatory responses in immunology and autoimmune disease research.
  • Elution-Based Workflow for Low Background: Reduces background noise and improves signal-to-noise ratio, enhancing assay performance in complex biological samples.
  • Comprehensive Kit for Streamlined Assay Setup: Offers a ready-to-use solution for researchers, minimizing setup time and ensuring consistency across experiments.
  • Supports Autoimmune and Inflammatory Disease Research: Enables quantification of IL-10 in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and psoriasis, where IL-10 plays a dual role in inflammation and immune tolerance.
