General description

Interleukin-2 (IL-2) is a crucial cytokine in the immune system, primarily produced by T cells. It plays a vital role in the proliferation, differentiation, and activation of immune cells, particularly T lymphocytes and natural killer (NK) cells. IL-2 is essential for maintaining immune homeostasis and is a key factor in the body′s response to infections and tumors.

Application

Inflammatory Disease / Immune Response / Autoimmune Disease

Features and Benefits

  • Breakthrough-Level Sensitivity For Translational Research: Supports early-stage biomarker identification and immune profiling with unmatched precision.
  • Support Autoimmune and Inflammatory Studies: Quantify IL-2 in models of autoimmunity, graft rejection, or chronic inflammation.
  • Illuminate Early Immune Activation: IL-2 is a key marker of T-cell activation; this assay helps detect it even at the earliest stages of immune response.
  • High Precision and Reproducibility: Verified across multiple operators and days, ensuring consistent, reliable results

Analysis Note

  • Sensitivity: LLOQ 90 fg/mL* (SMCxPRO® Instrument)
  • Standard Curve Range: 20-80,000 fg/mL
  • Intra-assay CV: <15%
  • Inter-assay CV: <20%
  • Linearity: Serum: 108% Plasma: 104%
  • Recovery: Serum: 91% Plasma 83%
*Indicative LLOQ created from average of 14 independent in house runs, where >80% met same value defined with CV & Recovery +/- 20%. Refer to CoA for lot specific performance.

Other Notes

Although IL-2 was detectable in non-human primate, canine, and feline samples, the assay has not been verified for these species.
