General description

Cult Dip Combi is a ready-to-use dip slide for the semi-quantitative detection of microorganisms in liquid samples. The slide is coated with different agar on both sides for detection of total bacterial count as well as yeasts & molds. The side containing TTC agar (colorless agar) is for the enumeration of total bacteria, while the side with modified Potato-Dextrose agar (orange agar) is for the enumeration of yeast and fungi. The slide is unscrewed from the tube and either dipped into the liquid sample or wetted with the fluid by either lightly spraying or placing the slide under a running stream of the liquid. It is then screwed back into the tube and incubated upright. Results for total bacterial count can be read after 24 - 48 hours when incubated at 27 - 30 °C, while results for yeasts and fungi will show after 3 days. Alternatively, tubes can be incubated at room temperature, and the total bacterial count can be read after 2 - 4 days, while results for yeasts and molds can be read after 4 - 7 days.

Application

Cult Dip Combi is suitable for the simultaneous detection of total bacterial count, yeasts, and fungi in liquid samples in industrial and environmental monitoring.
