General description

UVM-II Supplement contains acriflavine hydrochloride, which inhibits the growth of accompanying bacteria in the selective cultivation of Listeria monocytogenes.

Application

UVM II supplement is an additive for the preparation of UVM-II Listeria Selective Enrichment Broth (base) (1.10824).

Supplement tested in UVM-Listeria selectiv enrichment broth modified art. no. 1.10824.
Growth
- Listeria monocytogenes ATCC 19114 (WDCM 00110):
passes test
- Listeria ivanovii ATCC 19119 (WDCM 00018): passes test
- Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538-P (WDCM 00033): inhibited
Incubation: Listeria 24 hrs.; 30 °C; aerobic; other strains 24 hrs.; 35 °C; aerobic.
