General description

The MC MEDIA PAD® offers a convenient solution for rapidly and routinely testing microbial contamination in raw and in-process food and beverage materials, as well as finished products. The MC-Media Pad® is a pre-sterilized, ready-to-use dry culture device, simplifying testing and minimizing the quantity of waste. MC-Media Pad® is composed of a unique adhesive sheet, a test pad coated with medium and water absorption polymer, and a transparent cover film to automatically re-constitute the media. The MC-Media Pad® is coated with selective medium and chromogenic substrate for specific detection. Once the liquid sample is inoculated onto the test pad, the sample diffuses through the whole pad by capillary action.

Application

MC-Media Pad® enables the detection of total coliform count in a specific sample using a special medium composition and specific chromogenic substrate for β-galactosidase and important indicator of hygiene quality in foods and beverages. While improving the workflow, it also ensures accurate and reliable results.
