General description
Agar Strips LAC-y are ready-to-use culture media for assessment of airborne microorganisms RCS® Air Samplers. Each individual agar strip is welded into a re-sealable sleeve and 100% visually controlled, ensuring maximum safety in critical environments. Tryptic Soy Agar is filled in a flexible backing film. Tryptic Soy Agar (TSA, Tryptic Soy Agar Soybean Casein Digest Agar) is a complex medium for cultivation and isolation of a wide range of bacteria, yeasts and molds. The medium is supplemented with the neutralizers such as lecithin and polysorbate 80 and also a mixture of a broad-spectrum beta-lactamase like cephalosporinase and penase to inactivate penicillins, cephalosporins, carbapenems and monobactams.
Application
Agar Strips are used for monitoring of ambient air and compressed gases with RCS® Air Samplers. These Agar strips are gamma irradiated and triple bagged, for specific application within isolator and critical environment.
