General description

Agar Strips SDX-y are ready-to-use culture media for assessment of airborne yeasts and molds with RCS® Air Samplers. Each individual agar strip is welded into a re-sealable sleeve and 100% visually controlled, ensuring maximum safety in critical environments. Sabouraud Dextrose Agar is filled in a flexible backing film. Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDX, SDA) is a complex medium for cultivation and isolation of a wide range of yeasts and molds. Dextrose supports the growth of fungi. The medium is supplemented with a mixture of irradiable antibiotics with inhibiting properties towards bacterial strains

Application

Agar Strips are used for monitoring of ambient air and compressed gases with RCS® Air Samplers. These Agar strips are gamma irradiated and triple bagged, for specific application within isolator and critical environment.
