Description

General description

Rogosa Agar with TMB and peroxidase is a nutrient rich selective media for the isolation and enumeration of lactobacilli spp. The accompanying microbial flora is inhibited by the high acetate concentration and low pH of the medium.
Tween^® 80 provides necessary fatty acids for metabolism during growth. Lower concentrations of manganese, magnesium and iron ensure optimal growth of lactobacillus present in the test samples from food industry.

Application

Rogosa Agar with TMB and peroxidase is used to isolate and enumerate lactobacilli spp from test samples from food industry.

Analysis Note

Poured plates are clear and yellowish brown.
