General description

BufferedNaCl Peptone Solution with LTH (lecithin, Tween^®80 and histidine) is a lowpeptone content buffer supplemented with phosphate buffer and sodium chloride.The unique formula maintains viability of test microorganisms present in testsamples.
Lecithin and Polysorbate80, are effective against quaternary ammonium compounds, amphotericsurfactants, benzamidines, chlorhexidines and dequadin. Polysorbate 80inactivates benzyl alcohol, carbanilides, dichlorbenzyl alcohols, benzoic acid,p-hydroxybenzoic acid and its esters, phenols, phenylethyl alcohols and PHBesters. Histidine is effective against formaldehyde and formaldehyde releasingagents.

Application

Buffered NaCl Peptone Solution with LTH (lecithin, Tween^® 80 and histidine) is used for the microbial examination of non-sterile samples. It is suitable for dilution, sample preparation and sample washing.
