General description

Casein LT Broth with neutralizers (Tween® 80 and Lecithin) is a complex nutrient rich inhibitor free microbial media designed in compliance with European (EP), Japanese (JP) and United States Pharmacopeia (USP).
The medium is supplemented with peptones from casein and soymeal to provide an enhanced carbon source, which promotes the growth of the microbes present in the test sample.
Lecithin and Polysorbate 80, are effective against quaternary ammonium compounds, amphoteric surfactants, benzamidines, chlorhexidines and dequadin. Polysorbate 80 inactivates benzyl alcohol, carbanilides, dichlorbenzyl alcohols, benzoic acid, p-hydroxybenzoic acid and its esters, phenols, phenylethyl alcohols and PHB esters.

Application

Casein LT Broth (Tween® 80 and Lecithin) is used for the isolation and cultivation of fastidious bacteria, yeast, and molds. Casein LT Broth is suitable for sterility testing of substances, preparations, and products from pharmaceutical and food industry.

Production will take place at Millipore SAS in Molsheim, France. Deliveries will be executed in accordance with the terms and conditions of MLS RTU GmbH.
