General description
Native apotransferrin from human plasma. Transferrin is a serum protein involved in iron binding and transport. Substantially iron-free. Cell culture tested.
Physical form
Lyophilized from 10 mM phosphate buffer, pH 7.4.
Preparation Note
Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 1 year at -20°C.
Prepared from plasma that has been shown by certified tests to be negative for HBsAg and for antibodies to HIV and HCV.
