General description

A cell-permeable inhibitor of protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A; IC50 = 0.5-1 nM) and protein phosphatase 1 (PP1; IC50 = 2 nM). A non-phorbol ester type tumor promoter that induces oxidative DNA damage. Selectively increases the efficacy of AMPA receptor-mediated synaptic transmission at excitatory synapses. Also known to prevent γ-radiation induced apoptosis in Burkitt’s lymphoma cell line BM13674. Also available as a 100 µM solution in DMSO (Cat. No. 508226).

Primary Target
PP2A
Product does not compete with ATP.
Reversible: no
Target IC50: 0.5-1 nM and 2 nM against protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) and protein phosphatase 1 (PP1)

Packaging

Packaged under inert gas

Warning

Toxicity: Toxic (F)
