General description
Native creatine phosphokinase-MM from human skeletal muscle. Catalyzes the reversible conversion of creatine and ATP to phosphocreatine and ADP. Plasma levels of CPK-MM are a useful indicator of acute myocardial infarction.
Physical form
In 10 mM Sodium Chloride, 5 mM Succinate, 5 mM β-Mercaptoethanol, 1 mM EDTA, 50% Glycerol, pH 7.1 +/- 0.1.
Preparation Note
Following initial thaw, aliquot and freeze (-20°C).
Prepared from tissue of individuals that have been shown by certified tests to be negative for HBsAg and for antibodies to HIV and HCV.
