Description

General description

Broad-spectrum cell culture antibiotic that is non-toxic to viruses and mammalian cells at anti-bacterial and anti-mycoplasmal concentrations. Its extended stability and the slow development of bacterial resistance allow long-termvirus and tissue culture studies. Composed of three closely related compounds: gentamycin C₁, C_1a, and C₂.
