General description

Please note: this product is the same product that was previously found using Cat. No. 4010. Only the base catalog number has been changed.
Xanthine oxidase substrate. A product of nucleic acid breakdown. Acts to salvage free purines for nucleic acid and nucleotide recycling. Used in conjunction with thymidine and aminopterin for cloning and selection of hybridoma cell lines.
Xanthine oxidase substrate. Formed in the animal body during nucleic acid breakdown. Acts to salvage free purines for nucleic acid and nucleotide recycling. Used in conjunction with thymidine and aminopterin for cloning and selection of hybridoma cell lines.

Application

  • Targeted metabolomics analysis approach to unravel the biofilm formation pathways of Enterococcus faecalis clinical isolates.: This research employs targeted metabolomics to understand the role of hypoxanthine in the biofilm formation pathways of Enterococcus faecalis, offering insights that could guide the development of new antibacterial strategies (Suriyanarayanan T et al., 2024).

Preparation Note

Following reconstitution, sterilize by filtration through a 0.22 µm filter, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 1 year at -20°C.
