General description

PHA-L is a potent lymphocyte mitogen with a narrow concentration range. Requires calcium and manganese ions for activity. It has also been found to be useful as a specific marker in anterograde neuronal tracing. Elution: 100 mM acetic acid.

Preparation Note

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to months at -20°C.
Reconstitute in 1 ml 10 mM sodium phosphate buffer, pH 8.0 to yield a final buffer concentration of 15 mM phosphate, 10 mM NaCl with trace Ca+2.
