General description

Native malate dehydrogenase from porcine heart. Catalyzes the oxidation of L-malate to oxaloacetate in the presence of NAD+. Has an optimal pH of 7.2-7.5 and a pI of 6.1-6.4. Note: 1 KU = 1000 units.

Preparation Note

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 3 months at -20°C.

Other Notes

One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will oxidize 1.0 µmol NADH per min at 25°C, pH 7.5.
