NADPH-diaphorase substrate that competitively inhibits nitric oxide synthase (IC50 = 3-4 µM). A well-known scavenger of superoxide anions. Useful as a substrate for alkaline phosphatase, often in conjunction with BCIP (Cat. No. 203788).
