General description

A fluorescent false neurotransmitter that acts as an optical tracer that inhibits serotonin binding to VMAT2-containing membranes (IC50 = 1 µM). Compound has been used to assess the functional status of TH positive neurons by fluorescent measurement of uptatke and release.
