General description
A cell-permeable, water-soluble derivative of vitamin E with potent antioxidant properties. Prevents peroxynitrite-mediated oxidative stress and apoptosis in rat thymocytes.
Application
- Structural characterization of peroxyl radical oxidative products of antioxidant peptides from hydrolyzed proteins.: This study highlights the application of Trolox in understanding the oxidative modifications of antioxidant peptides, which could help in the development of more effective antioxidative therapies and supplements (Esfandi et al., 2024).
- Extraction of bioactive compounds from pecan nutshell: An added-value and low-cost alternative for an industrial waste.: Trolox is utilized to evaluate the antioxidant capacity of bioactive extracts from pecan shells, presenting a sustainable approach to utilizing agricultural waste (Cardona Jimenez et al., 2024).
- Investigation into the role of carboxylic acid and phenolic hydroxyl groups in the plant biostimulant activity of a humic acid purified from an oxidized sub-bituminous coal.: Utilizing Trolox equivalent antioxidant capacity (TEAC) assay, this research explores the bio-stimulatory properties of humic substances, enhancing our understanding of their role in agriculture (Lamar et al., 2024).
Preparation Note
