General description
GDS PickPen® Tips are the consumable accessories of the GDS PickPen® device. Assurance® GDS is an automated nucleic acid amplification system for the detection of pathogenic organisms in foods, ingredients, and environmental samples. As part of the sample preparation, the proprietary GDS PickPen® is designed to transfer magnetic particles when working with Assurance® GDS pathogen detection kits. The incorporation of the GDS PickPen® in the immunomagnetic separation (IMS) process improves the procedure by concentrating the target pathogen while decreasing the carryover of background microflora from a wide range of food matrices without compromising the sensitivity.
Application
Immunomagnetic Separation (IMS)
The Assurance® GDS PickPen® Tips are used with the PickPen® device to collect and transfer magnetic particles during sample preparation for detection of food pathogens by Assurance® GDS.
