Features and Benefits
- Self-maintaining design with an ultrasonic bath prevents clogging and failure in the plate washer. The built-in, patented Ultrasonic Advantage allows the instrument to clean build up in the manifold tube automatically, without manual intervention.
- Hands-off, self-testing Verify technology eliminates tedious manual procedures using an ultrasonic probe to check dispense and aspirate performance. Test results are automatically displayed and inidicate when tubes may require additional cleaning.
- Automated magnetic and filtration bead-based assays provide flexible operation in many applications. Variable wash steps and magnet accessories for biomagnetic separation workflows ensure high bead recovery. Vacuum filtration module is also available.
- Cell-friendly design for high-quality results with angled dispense tubes, highly adjustable dispense and aspiratoin rate settings for cell-based asssays. The gentle flow rates and side-wall dispensing position ensure the integrity of cell monolayers.
- SMC® custom magnet serialized to plate washer for optimal plate washing and performance for SMC® assays, including customized wash protocols.
- Adaptible for MILLIPLEX® with Dexter magnets (purchased separately) and customized wash protocols.
Other Notes
Using 96 and 384-well Dexter magnets (sold separately), the washer is easily adapable for use with MILLIPLEX ®magnetic bead assays with the incorporation of customized MILLIPLEX® wash protocols pre-programmed on the washer.
When counting at the single molecule level, it is critical to ensure reliable assay performance. For SMCS® assays, one vital consideration is to ensure thorough bead washing during key stages of the workflow. The BioTek® 405™TSUVS Plate Washer for SMC® technology has been specifically modified with a custom magnetic plate and SMC® specific wash procedures to improve assay performance by preventing bead loss and ensuring consistency between wells.
