General description

Dexras1 is a member of the superfamily of RAS-g-proteins and directly binds to Gialpha heterotrimeric G-proteins where it appears to promote guanine nucleotide exchange on Gialpha. Dexras1 is implicated in NMDA receptor signaling through nitric oxide synthase.

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide.

Application

Signaling Neuroscience
This Anti-Dexras1 Antibody is validated for use in WB for the detection of Dexras1.
Western blot: 1:1,000 on mouse brain extract.
Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Dexras1 (Activator of G-Protein Signaling 1, AGS1). By Western blot the antibody recognizes a band at ~33 kDa on mouse brain extract. The antibody has also been used to detect Dexras1 in brown adipocyte lysate.
Other species have not been tested
