Anti-Adenosine A1 Receptor Antibody detects level of Adenosine A1 Receptor & has been published & validated for use in ELISA, IC, IH & WB.
Immunohistochemistry: 10-50 μg/mL on frozen tissue sections. Light fixation is recommended. 2% 0.2% picric acid {Cooke, HJ (1999) AJP Gastrointest Liver Physiol 276:4516-4626}
Immunocytochemistry: Caufield, 2003. Light 2% PFA fixation 5-10 minutes --long fixations lower staining intensity.
Western blot: 1-10 μg/mL (Chemiluminescence technique): Membrane preparations are recommended for enhanced signals {Smith et al (2001) Biochem Pharmacology 61:237-244} Higher concentrations of the antibody may be necessary if calorimetric detection or milk-based antibody diluent are used.
ELISA: 1:10,000-1:50,000 (50-100 ng A1R peptide (Cat. Number AG289)/well)
Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.

Biochem/physiol Actions
Recognizes Adenosine A1 receptor (A1R). Recognizes the 79 kDa and 39 kDa bands of in cortical membranes from rat, porcine and lamb. The 79 kDa band can be converted to 39 kDa band by agonist or antagonist treatment and could represent a A1R dimers.

Mediators of inflammation, 2014, 254640-254640 (2014-09-12)
Purinergic signalling is remarkably plastic during gastrointestinal inflammation. Thus, selective drugs targeting the "purinome" may be helpful for inflammatory gastrointestinal diseases. The myenteric neuromuscular transmission of healthy individuals is fine-tuned and controlled by adenosine acting on A(2A) excitatory receptors. Here

There is an excellent correlation between the age when alcohol consumption begins and the likelihood of lifelong problems with alcohol abuse. Alcohol use often begins in adolescence, a time marked by brain development and maturation of numerous brain systems. Rats

Cells, 9(3) (2020-03-12)
Human subcutaneous fibroblasts (HSCF) challenged with inflammatory mediators release huge amounts of ATP, which rapidly generates adenosine. Given the nucleoside's putative relevance in wound healing, dermal fibrosis, and myofascial pain, we investigated the role of its precursor, AMP, and of
