General description

Modulator of apoptosis 1 (MAP1) is a member of the PNMA family. This protein contains a BH3-like domain and induces caspase-dependent apoptosis in mammalian cells when overexpressed and is required for death receptor-dependent apoptosis. MAP1 is ubiquitously expressed with higher levels found in heart and brain.

Specificity

This antibody recognizes the intermediate domain of MAP1.

Immunogen

KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to the intermediate domain of human MAP1.

Application

Detect Modulator of apoptosis 1 using this rabbit polyclonal antibody, Anti-MAP1 Antibody validated for use in western blotting.

Quality

Evaluated by Western Blotting in EL4 cell lysate.

Western Blotting Analysis: 1 µg/mL of this antibody detected MAP1 in 15 µg of EL4 cell lysate.

Target description

~35 kDa observed
