General description
Centrin-2 is also called Caltractin isoform 1. Centrin-2 is involved in microtubule organization, structure and function, and is required for centriole duplication and spindle formation. Centrin-2 also has a role in regulating cytokinesis, genome stability and global genome nucleotide excision repair (GG-NER) as component of the XPC complex.
~18 kDa observed. Uncharacterized band(s) may be observed in some cell lysates.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to human Centrin-2.
Application
Anti-Centrin-2 Antibody is a highly specific rabbit polyclonal antibody, that targets Centrin & has been tested in western blotting, ICC, IHC & IP.
Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A representative lot from an independent laboratory detected Centrin-2 in MDCK cells (Koch, A., et al. (2010). Mol Biol Cell. 21(2):219-231.).
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A representative lot from an independent laboratory detected Centrin-2 in wild type and galectin-3 null mouse kidney tissues (Koch, A., et al. (2010). Mol Biol Cell. 21(2):219-231.).
Immunoprecipitation Analysis: A representative lot from an independent laboratory immunoprecipitated Centrin-2 in MDCK cell lysate (Koch, A., et al. (2010). Mol Biol Cell. 21(2):219-231.).

Analysis Note
Evaluated by Western Blotting in Jurkat cell lysate.
Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution of this antibody detected Centrin-2 in 10 µg of Jurkat cell lysate.

Male gametes (spermatozoids) are the only motile cells produced during the life cycle of land plants. While absent from flowering and most cone-bearing plants, motile cells are found in less derived taxa, including bryophytes (mosses, liverworts and hornworts), pteridophytes (lycophytes

Transcription replication collisions (TRCs) constitute a major intrinsic source of genome instability but conclusive evidence for a causal role of TRCs in tumor initiation is missing. We discover that lack of the H4K20-dimethyltransferase KMT5B (also known as SUV4-20H1) in muscle
