General description

~37 kDa observed. Uncharacterized band(s) may appear in some lysates.
POU domain, class 6, transcription factor 1 (POU6F1) is also called Brain-specific homeobox/POU domain protein 5 (Brn-5), and mPOU homeobox protein. POU6F1 is a nuclear transcription factor that binds preferentially to a variant of the octamer motif (5′-ATGATAAT-3′). POU6F1 is expressed exclusively in the developing embryonic brain, while in adults it is found in brain, heart, skeletal muscle and lung.

Epitope: Gln/Pro rich domain
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to the Gln/Pro rich domain of human POU6F1.

Analysis Note

Evaluated by Western Blotting in human fetal brain tissue lysate.

Western Blotting Analysis: 2.0 µg/mL of this antibody detected POU6F1 in 10 µg of human fetal brain tissue lysate.
