Gene Information

human ... MYO19(80179)

General description

109 kDa calculated
Myosin XIX (Myo19) is the founding member of a novel class of myosin that associates with mitochondria. Both endogenous Myo19 and GFP-Myo19 exihibit localization to mitochondria. Myosins are actin-based motor molecules with ATPase activity. Myo19 is involved in actin-based mitochondrial motility. Myo19 mRNA is expressed in multiple tissues, and antibodies to human Myo19 detect an approximately 109 kDa band in multiple cell lines.

Specificity

Other homologies: Rat and Mouse (92% sequence homology).

Immunogen

KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to human Myosin XIX (Myo19).

Application

Anti-Myosin XIX (Myo19) Antibody detects level of Myosin XIX (Myo19) & has been published & validated for use in IH(P).

Analysis Note

Evaluated by Immunohistochemistry in human cardiac muscle tissue.

Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:50 dilution of this antibody detected Myosin XIX (Myo19) in human cardiac muscle tissue.

Other Notes

Concentration: Please refer to the Certificate of Analysis for the lot-specific concentration.
