Specificity

This antibody recognizes most macrophages (including resident peritoneal and activated macrophages), Kupffer cells, but only about 35% of alveolar macrophages. The antibody also labels dendritic cells extensively, granulocytes and cells with the morphology of microglia in brain. The antibody precipitates three polypeptides of 150, 103 and 95 KDa. The antibody inhibits complement mediated rosettes and is probably the rat equivalent of the human receptor for IC3b called CR3. FUSION PARTNER: NSO myeloma cell line.

Application

Detect Integrin αM [CD11b] using this Anti-Integrin αM CD11b Antibody, clone OX-42 validated for use in FC, IH, IH(P) & IP.
Flow cytometry

Immunohistochemical studies of rat fresh frozen tissue sections and paraffin-embedded tissue sections following either periodate-lysine-paraformaldehyde (PLP) fixation, or acetone. Works on very lightly PFA fixed, frozen tissues. (perfusion only 4% PFA 10-15′ no post-fix).

Immunoprecipitation: use rabbit anti-mouse or anti-mouse IgG bead for capture only. The use of protein A or protein G is not recommended.

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.
