General description

Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS) is the ideal cell growth supplement and generally preferred over other types of cell culture sera. It′s high levels of nutrients and optimal combination of growth factors makes fetal bovine serum the most effective cell growth promoter for virtually any cell culture system. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have the ability to differentiate into bone, cartilage and adipose tissue and have recently become an attractive source of potential cellular therapies. This product has been screened and qualified to support human mesenchymal stem cell cultures using a clonal growth assay.

This serum has been derived from blood aseptically collected in USDA approved abattoirs in the United States of America. This serum was aseptically processed and filter sterilized in the United States. The country of origin of the the crude blood (donor cow origin) is the United States. Product meets European Union requirements for production of technical blood products. Each lot is sterile filtered and mycoplasma, endotoxin, and virus tested. A Certificate of Analysis is available upon request.
