General description

IGF-1 and IGF-2 are essential growth factors that regulate cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. IGF-1 is a key mediator of growth hormone activity and plays a vital role in tissue development and repair, while IGF-2 is involved in fetal growth and has implications in cancer and metabolic disorders. Together, they provide valuable insights into endocrine function and growth-related pathologies.

Application

MILLIPLEX® Qualified assays undergo rigorous assay development, verification, and Quality Control testing to achieve optimal performance. Simultaneously analyze IGF-1 and IGF-2 in human serum, plasma, or cell culture supernatants.Analytes included: IGF-1 and IGF-2Note: Sample extraction, using reagents included in the kit, is required for serum and plasma samples.Assay Characteristics: Refer to kit protocol for assay cross-reactivity, sensitivity, precision, and accuracy.

Features and Benefits

Features:- Multiplex magnetic bead-based assay for simultaneous quantification of IGF-1 and IGF-2- Utilizes Luminex® xMAP® technology for high-throughput and reproducible results- Compatible with human serum, plasma, and tissue culture supernatants- High sensitivity and wide dynamic range for low-abundance detection- Includes all necessary reagents and standards for streamlined workflow- Verified for precision, reproducibility, and minimal cross-reactivityBenefits:- Enables focused analysis of IGF signaling in growth, metabolism, and disease- Reduces sample volume while maximizing data output- Saves time and cost compared to single-analyte ELISAs- Supports research in endocrine regulation, cancer progression, and aging- Provides reliable, reproducible data for both basic and translational research
