Expression of tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases-3 (TIMP-3) has been found to be decreased in several types of cancer by promoter gene hypermethylation. However, little is known regarding the silencing effect of TIMP3 promoter hypermethylation on gene and protein expression in

The tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-3 (TIMP3) is the only member of the TIMP family that binds to the extracellular matrix and suppresses cancer cell growth, angiogenesis, migration, and invasion. However, whether the abnormal expression and promoter methylation of TIMP3 facilitates

Amongst involvement in diverse physiological and pathological processes, TIMP-3 may have an important role in tumour development, growth and metastasis by interaction with metalloproteases in the extracellular matrix. We studied the role and prognostic effect of TIMP-3 in esophageal adenocarcinoma
