General description
Epithelial Call Adhesion Molecule (EpCAM, CD326) is a transmembrane glycoprotein of approximately 40 kDa. EpCAM was initially identified as a tumor associated marker having high expression in quickly proliferating epithelial tumors. As such, EpCAM has been of significant interest as a means for tumor diagnosis and therapy. EpCAM is also expressed in normal epithelial cells, but in comparatively lower levels. Preliminary studies limited EpCAM’s function to cell-cell adhesion; however more recent studies indicate it to be involved in diverse processes that include cell migration, cell signaling, differentiation and proliferation.

Application
Flow Cytometry Analysis: 0.5 µg from a previous lot detected Epithelial cell adhesion molecule in human embryonic stem cells.
Immunofluorescence Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected EpCAM in human liver tissue, iPSC-derived liver organoid progenitor, and mature liver organoid sections.
Immunofluorescence Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected EpCAM in human breast tissue and patient-derived triple negative breast cancer organoid sections.
Immunofluorescence Analysis: A 1:200 dilution from a representative lot detected EpCAM in human small intestine, human colon, duodenum intestinal organoid and colon intestinal organoid tissue sections.
Western Blot Analysis: A previous lot was used by an independent laboratory in WB. (Ng, V., et al., 2010)
