General description

NDiff Neuro-27 Medium Supplement is a serum-free supplement containing antioxidants and other factors that has been specifically developed for the in vitro propagation and maintenance of undifferentiated murine embryonic stem (ES) cells in serum free medium (Nichols J, 2006). This product can also be used to differentiate murine ES cells into post-mitotic neurons particularly via monolayer differentiation (Ying QL, 2003).

Physical form

NDiff Neuro-27 Medium Supplement is supplied as an aqueous solution. Optimal working concentration of the medium supplement must be determined for specific uses and cell types. In most instances, a 1:40-1:200 dilution is appropriate. Typically, Neuro-27 is diluted 1:100 for self renewal and neural differentiation of mouse ES cells.

Storage and Stability

Maintain at -20 °C until expiration date. Protect from light. Once thawed, aliquot unused portion and store at -20 °C until future use. Once added to the cell culture medium, the product is stable at 4 °C for four weeks.
