General description

Non-sterile Millex-LCR Syringe Filter with Hydrophilic PTFE membrane and Tube Outlet

The MillexLCR syringe filters are specifically designed for the efficient filtration of aqueous and organic solvents. Featuring a hydrophilic PTFE membrane, these filters are HPLC-certified, ensuring low levels of UV-absorbing extractables, making them ideal for analytical sample filtration. The tube outlet is designed to fit into the narrow necks of vials, facilitating direct filtration into HPLC vials.

  • SLCRX13TL replaces SLCRT13NL

Application

  • Suitable for sample filtration before HPLC and other analytical techniques.
  • Filtration of aqueous and organic solutions

Features and Benefits

  • HPLC Certified: Guarantees low levels of UV-absorbing extractables for reliable analytical results.
  • Hydrophilic PTFE Membrane: Offers low analyte binding and broad solvent compatibility, facilitating the filtration of various solutions and sample types.
  • Polypropylene Housing: Provides low extractables and excellent chemical compatibility,
  • Easy Identification: Membrane type and pore size are clearly printed on the filter for quick reference. A light blue band identifies non-sterile Millex filters with hydrophilic PTFE membrane.
  • Recommended Sample Volume: Designed for filtering volumes of 1-10 milliliters (mL) to effectively remove particulates prior to instrumentation analysis.

For general laboratory use only

Because of its high sensitivity and extreme versatility, mass spectrometry has become a popular technique for identifying and quantifying molecules within complex mixtures, in diverse research areas that range from systems biology and proteomics to environmental analysis. Successful mass spectrometry requires extremely areful sample preparation, in order to avoid complexity of the mixtures being analyzed. EMD Millipore supports researchers using mass spectrometry with tools or multiple steps of the workflow, including purification, clarification, and analysis.

"Liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS) and gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS) are being increasingly used in analysis of samples, not only in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, but also more generally in the analysis, identification and quantitation of complex samples containing low levels of analytes. The advantages of LC-MS or GC-MS over other analytical techniques include high sensitivityand specificity for analyte detection and quantitation."
