General description

Recombinant Pyrophosphatase is an essential enzyme used in the in vitro transcription of mRNA. It catalyzes the hydrolysis of inorganic pyrophosphate (PPi), which is generated during RNA synthesis. By hydrolyzing PPi, the enzyme shifts the equilibrium of the mRNA synthesis reaction towards the formation of mRNA, thereby increasing the yield of the final product

Application

In Vitro Transcription: Recombinant Pyrophosphatase is primarily used in in vitro transcription systems to facilitate the synthesis of mRNA from DNA templates. Its role in hydrolyzing PPi is critical for maximizing RNA yield during transcription reactions.Optimization of RNA Synthesis: The enzyme can be employed to optimize conditions for RNA synthesis, allowing researchers to achieve higher yields and better quality RNA for downstream applications.Production of Modified RNA: By maintaining favorable reaction conditions, Recombinant Pyrophosphatase enables the incorporation of modified ribonucleoside triphosphates (NTPs) into RNA transcripts, which is important for studying the effects of modifications on RNA properties.Functional RNA Studies: The enzyme is beneficial in producing high-quality RNA for functional studies, including RNA interference (RNAi), ribozymes, and RNA-based therapeutics, where yield and integrity are paramount.RNA Labeling and Probing: Recombinant Pyrophosphatase can be utilized in protocols for labeling RNA or preparing RNA probes, enhancing the sensitivity and specificity of RNA detection techniques.

Features and Benefits

  • Increased Yield: By hydrolyzing PPi, Recombinant Pyrophosphatase shifts the equilibrium towards mRNA synthesis, significantly increasing the yield of the final RNA product.

  • Enhanced Reaction Efficiency: The enzyme improves the efficiency of in vitro transcription reactions, allowing for more effective use of resources and time in RNA synthesis.

  • Versatile Applications: Recombinant Pyrophosphatase is applicable in various RNA synthesis and modification protocols, making it a valuable tool in molecular biology and biotechnology.

  • Improved RNA Quality: The enzyme′s action contributes to the production of high-quality RNA, essential for accurate and reliable downstream applications.
