General description
The product, bovine serum albumin, is of special quality for molecular biology. Bovine serum albumin has homology with human serum albumin. Serum albumins are soluble proteins of the circulatory system and participate in various cellular processes.
Contents
Solution of 20mg/ml Bovine Serum Albumin in 50mM Tris-HCl, 0.1M NaCl, 0.25mM EDTA, 1mM 2-mercaptoethanol, 50% glycerol (v/v), pH approximately 7.6.
Contents
Solution of 20mg/ml Bovine Serum Albumin in 50mM Tris-HCl, 0.1M NaCl, 0.25mM EDTA, 1mM 2-mercaptoethanol, 50% glycerol (v/v), pH approximately 7.6.
Application
Bovine Serum Albumin supports enzyme stability. It has been used for the:
- preparation of circular DNA molecules
- amplification of bacterial 16S rRNA genes
- BOX-PCR fingerprinting
Physical form
Solution of 20 mg/ml Bovine Serum Albumin in 50 mM Tris-HCl, 0.1 M NaCl, 0.25 mM EDTA, 1 mM 2-mercaptoethanol, 50% glycerol (v/v), pH approx. 7.6.
Analysis Note
Contaminants: Albumin is checked for the absence of DNases, nicking activity, RNases, and proteases according to the current Quality Control procedures.
