General description
Optimized enzymatic colorimetric assay for the determination of free fatty acids (non-esterified fatty acids, or NEFA) in research samples from serum or plasma.
Application
Determination of free fatty acids (non-esterified fatty acids, or NEFA) in serum and plasma in life science research applications. The test combination is intended as a research tool to help increase scientific knowledge about the physiological role of free fatty acids in blood.
Free Fatty Acids, Half Micro Test has been used in the lipid quantification. It has also been used in the determination of free fatty acid in plasma by spectrophotometry using the half-micro test.

Disruption of KSR2 in humans and mice decreases metabolic rate and induces obesity, coincident with dysregulation of glucose homeostasis. Relative to wild-type mice, ksr2(-/-) mice are small prior to weaning with normal glucose tolerance at 6 weeks of age, but

Background and Aims. Adipose tissue dysfunction results from many factors, including glycation-induced microvascular damages. We tested the usefulness of inhibiting methylglyoxal-induced glycation to adipose tissue microvasculature in this work, using the antioxidant and dicarbonyl scavenger drug pyridoxamine. Methods.
