General description

Melting point standard 79-81 °C, naphthalene is a non-polar hydrocarbon for use in the characterization of pure chemicals and pharmaceutical compounds. The melting point value is determined with an average of 6 to 12 measurements using a Büchi B-545 instrument that is calibrated against primary standards.

Application

Naphthalene melting point standard 79-81 °C is an analytical standard used to calibrate melting point instruments, operating in the thermodynamic mode of analysis. It′s also applicable in R&D labs for chemical quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) to identify solid crystalline substances and to check their purity.
Additionally, this mp standard is also used as a temperature calibration standard in thermal studies.

Features and Benefits

  • Melting point calibration standard traceable to primary standards (LGC, London)
  • Grade: Analytical Standard
  • Standard deviation up to ± 0.3 °C
  • Provided with certificates of analysis and safety data sheet
