General description

Park and Sanders Selective Supplement II, modified, is used as an antibiotic supplement in culture media to inhibit the growth of unwanted organisms while allowing the growth of the desired microorganisms. This antibiotic supplement is recommended for the selective isolation and enumeration of thermotolerant Campylobacter sp. The modified supplement consists of a combination of Amphotericin B and Cefoperazone with broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against various Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms.
