General description

Bisphenol M is a bisphenol analog, used in a variety of industrial applications, such as the synthesis of polycarbonate and epoxy resins. It is also used in electronics, toys, food containers, bottles, papers, medical equipment, etc.

Application

Bisphenol M may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in human breast milk and beverages using gas chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS). It may also be used as an analytical standard for the green chemical synthesis of phosphorus containing polymers via gas-liquid or solid-liquid interfacial polycondensation with phenylphosphonic dichloride.
