General description
Procyanidins are oligomers and polymers of flavan-3-ols consisting of (−)-epicatechin subunits found in fruits and plants with various biological benefits. Procyanidin A2 is a dimer of procyanidin.
Application
Procyanidin A2 may be used as a reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in grapes and wines of Vitis vinifera L. of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot noir by reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography method.
