General description
Sulfadoxin belongs to the long acting group of sulfonamides, which acts by inhibiting dihydropteroate synthase in intracellular sporozoa such as Eimeria and Toxoplasma and Plasmodium.

Application
Sulfadoxin may be used as a reference standard for the determination of the analyte in plasma samples using packed-column supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC).
