General description

1,5-Diphenylcarbazide reaction with chromium(VI), has been widely used for the spectro- photometric determination of chromium. It is also an electron donor, and can be used for measuring photosystem 2 activity in subchloroplast fragments.

Application

1,5-diphenylcarbazide was used for preparing diphenylcarbazide solution, during an experimental procedure done for reducing biological chromium(VI), using trickling filter. It may be used for pre-column complexation in HPLC, during on-line preconcentration and determination of chromium(VI) traces in water.
