Methimazole is a thyreostatic compound, and an antihormone, which is widely used in medicine for the treatment of hyperthyroidism.

Application

Methimazole may be used as a reference standard for the determination of the analyte in fish homogenates using mixed mode solid-phase extraction technique with reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography method with ultraviolet detection (MMSPE-RP-HPLC-UV).
