Ponceau 3R is a carcinogenic sulfonated azo dye, commonly used as a coloring agent in textiles, food products, paper, etc.

Application

Ponceau 3R may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the anayte in food samples using ion-pair liquid chromatography with photodiode array and electrospray mass spectrometry detection.
