6-Acetyl-1,1,2,4,4,7-hexamethyltetralin (musk tonalide) is a polycyclic musk which belongs to the class of tetralin compounds. It is widely used as a fragrance ingredient in consumer products, mainly soaps, detergents, cosmetics, and cleaning agents.
