4-(Dimethylamino)benzoyl chloride dissovled in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone (NMP) and pyridine may be used in the synthesis of 6-O-(4-(Dimethylamino)benzoyl)curdlan (DABz-Cur) by adding curdlan to dry NMP.
